Three-time Tony Award winner Frank Langella is planning a Broadway return in a Roundabout Theatre Company revival of Terence Rattigan's Man and Boy, according to the New York Post. Langella took part in a reading of the play last week, which is eyeing a run at the American Airlines Theatre this fall.
Man and Boy follows Gregor Antonescu (Langella), a corrupt financier whose musician son rebels against his greedy ways by becoming a socialist. Man and Boy opened on November 12, 1963, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre starring Charles Boyer. The production ran for 54 performances.
Langella received Tony Awards for Frost/Nixon, Fortune's Fool and Seascape. He also earned nominations for Match and Dracula. Langella's other Broadway credits include A Man For All Seasons, Present Laughter, The Father, Sherlock's Last Castle, Hurlyburly, Design For Living, Amadeus, Passion, A City of Prayers and Yerma. His many film credits include Frost/Nixon, All Good Things, The Box, Superman Returns and Good Night and Good Luck.
